Job Description

Egg Audio is a specialist marketing agency and consultancy for music software developers (VST plugins). An opportunity has arisen for an editorial and marketing assistant.

The successful candidate will be a competent writer and music producer looking to combine these talents into a future career.

The role is based in Bristol, UK, and while some work can be taken remotely, this is predominantly an office-based role, starting with only a few hours each week.

ESSENTIAL SKILL: English Language

Good written communication and spelling are essential for this role. The right candidate doesn't have to be the perfect writer, and there will be opportunities to grow in this regard, but this is for someone who may have aspirations to write, read or generally work in a field where they communicate in writing a lot.

ESSENTIAL SKILL: Music Production

You should be able to make music in a DAW with the aid of plugins. You should understand the basics of synths, effects and production techniques. Being able to create multiple genres of music is particularly desirable.

DESIRABLE SKILL: Computer and Software

Anything from image software and Google Docs, through video editing, to web design and HTML can be useful.

DESIRABLE SKILL: Personal and Professional Qualities

Candidates should be able to hit deadlines, have the diligence to do what they say they will, and be ambitious enough to work towards a career in music production or the musical instruments industry.

This role requires no exact experience or qualifications, but requires skills in both music production and english language.

Previous assistants have moved onto employment roles with the company, while others have landed industry jobs with plugin companies. For the right person with the exact mix of interests and skills, this is a career starter.

Pay: 15.00 per hour
