We are looking for an experienced EDMS Product Specialist / Functional Consultant with deep expertise in SharePoint to support, configure, and optimize our Electronic Document Management System. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business requirements and technology, ensuring effective document lifecycle management, compliance, and user adoption.
Duties
Configure and maintain the selected EDMS platform (SharePoint).
Design and implement workflows, document libraries, and metadata structures.
Develop and manage document taxonomies, classification, and retention schedules.
Provide end-user training, support, and adoption enablement.
Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and translate them into functional EDMS solutions.
Ensure compliance with governance, security, and regulatory standards.
Assist in system upgrades, integrations, and vendor collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Library Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5-7 years' experience working with the selected EDMS platform (SharePoint).
Vendor certifications such as OpenText Certified Consultant(or equivalent).
System configuration and administration.
Workflow design and automation.
Document taxonomy and metadata management.
End-user enablement and training delivery.
Strong understanding of document lifecycle management and governance.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Strong communication skills to engage with business and technical stakeholders.
Ability to deliver solutions that balance functionality, compliance, and usability.
