Are you passionate about enhancing student experiences in higher education? Join Birkbeck as an Education Directorate Liaison Officer, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting student engagement and success.



Birkbeck's Education and Student Experience Directorate is seeking an experienced administrator who will support the diverse Foundation Year cohort, and work on projects that support student retention and engagement. This role is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover on a salary of 34,346 rising to 38,443 per year.



As an Education Directorate Liaison Officer, you'll be at the heart of student engagement and support and will:


Enhance the induction and transition of foundation year students, ensuring their successful progression. Identify and support students needing additional help, directing them to appropriate services. Liaise with teaching and support staff to promote student engagement and completion. Provide administrative support for centralised modules and college processes. Contribute to college-level projects aimed at improving student outcomes.

To succeed as Education Directorate Liaison Officer, you will have:


Excellent organisation and customer service skills, and a high level of verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of diverse student needs and higher education trends. Strong administrative skills and knowledge of office systems. Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Salary and benefits:





34,346 rising to 38,443 per year which is Grade 5 of the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance that applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.

Contract:





Fixed-term, maternity cover contract. Full-time (35 hours a week). Monday to Friday, usually 9-5pm, except where pre-arranged. On campus working will be required as pre-arranged, otherwise remote. Please submit an application form for consideration.
