We have an exciting opportunity for an Education, Health and Care Manager to join us at Ruskin Mill College. The purpose of the role is to ensure each student benefits from Ruskin Mill Trust's Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) and receives the training and support they need to fulfil the outcomes identified in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Within this role, you will:
Manage student caseload;
Understand and advocate for each caseload student, coordinating their overall programme at college;
Be the main point of contact in relation to all relevant individual and agencies, both internal and external;
Ensure consistent and effective liaison with all external agencies and stakeholders of each caseload student;
Support the overall management of the college;
Be part of the On Call Duty team providing support as part of the duty rota covering evenings, weekends and College holidays
The post holder will be expected to embrace, articulate and work with the Trust's ethos, informed by Steiner education, which is maintained, implemented and integrated within the therapeutic provision within the College.
To undertake this position successfully you will have:
Experience in a role similar to SENCO, Learning Disability Nurse, Social Work, Registered Managers for people with Learning Disabilities;
Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and frameworks with regards to Education and Residential provisions;
Excellent administrative, report writing, logistical, social and communication skills;
The ability to work flexibly as required including evenings, weekends and the college holidays
Willingness to travel in order to attend appointments for students and attend other RMT sites as required;
Understanding of a wide range of possible diagnoses challenges of students such as autism, attachment difficulties, ADHD, epilepsy, learning difficulties as well as complex mental health conditions;
High levels of resilience, patience and a passion for supporting young people with complex needs to achieve and thrive
