Job Description

We are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Education Support Workers for an Education setting in Ebbw Vale. The setting supports learners between the age of 11 - 18 years old with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder and Challenging Behaviour and as a result, we are looking for Education Support Workers in or around Ebbw Vale who are experienced in any of these fields.

The school require multiple Education Support Workers to start full time, long term roles from November 2025 for the remainder of the academic year 2025-2026

As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we will give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN settings as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.

Title: Education Support Worker

Pay: 90.00/ 13.84 per hour per day minimum Location: Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent Hours: Full time, Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as an Education Support Worker



Supporting and supervising learners with ASD, PDA, Global delay Disorder or PMLD Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons Assist learners at break time with their lunch Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies

The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as an Education Support Worker



At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this References covering the last two years (no gaps) Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one The right to work in the UK
