Job Purpose:
As an Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting students with their educational, social, and personal development. You will work as part of a coordinated team, ensuring that students receive the encouragement, reassurance, and support they need to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students' learning and development under the direction of the Support Coordinator.
To follow and act upon Behaviour Management guidelines and all relevant support & care plans, advice, and programmes
Encourage students' independence while assisting with personal and physical care when necessary.
Support students in achieving their learning targets and monitor their progress.
Assist in maintaining a high-quality learning environment.
Provide one-to-one or group support for students in various settings.
Participate in planning, recording, and evaluating study programmes.
Assist students in using technology and communication aids.
Accompany students to activities within the community.
Supervise students during break times.
Liaise with other staff regarding students' development and behaviour.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Assist in administrative tasks and maintain necessary equipment and materials.
Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
Adhere to Health and Safety policies, safeguarding and welfare guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality at all times
