We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of those they serve. Duties
Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Provide specialised care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's, ensuring their safety and comfort
Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Support patients with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Manage behaviour effectively using patience and behavioural management strategies
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
Monitor health status, report changes promptly, and assist with basic first aid when necessary
Support families by providing updates on patient condition and offering emotional support
Experience
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or home care environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of caring for elderly individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments is preferred
Experience with medication administration, first aid, and behaviour management techniques is advantageous
Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, heavy lifting, and driving is beneficial
Childcare experience or working with vulnerable populations will be considered a plus
This role requires a caring attitude, organisational skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. Applicants should be committed to providing respectful, compassionate support that enhances the quality of life for those in their care.
