Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Electrical & Mechanical Engineer to join our organisation in a dedicated in-house capacity. This individual will be solely responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the ongoing reliability of our equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise across both disciplines, alongside the ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing solutions.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant health, safety, and statutory regulations.
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation using computer-based systems.
Provide a professional, reliable, and proactive engineering service to support continuous operations.
Work flexibly, including occasional weekends, in response to operational requirements.
Candidate Requirements
Recognised qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering (e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
Demonstrable experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a professional environment.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
Competence in using computers and maintenance-related software systems.
Proven ability to work independently, exercising initiative and sound judgement.
Flexibility to work outside core hours when required.
Remuneration
Competitive starting salary of 45,000 per annum.
Full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
