Electrical & Mechanical Engineer

AE Evans is one of the leading timber playground and fencing manufacturing companies in the UK. Due to continued growth an opportunity has arisen for a hard-working individual to join our established and disciplined maintenance team. This is a highly responsible role, with the right candidate having the ability to ensure the maintenance, repair and improvement of our machinery and equipment with minimum downtime and maximum efficiency. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.

Reporting to the management team the successful candidates' responsibilities will be -

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Reacting promptly and efficiently to breakdowns as and when needed. Fault finding ability both Electrical and Mechanical. Project management and machinery commissioning. Plant installation and commissioning. Comprehensive knowledge of Electrics, PLC's, gearboxes, motors and ideally hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors. Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and actively promote safe working practices.
The Person

Engineering qualifications in either mechanical or electrical maintenance is essential Motivated and flexible willing to work overtime and weekends as required. Opportunity to train and develop within the company. Can work effectively as part of the team or independently as required. In-depth understanding of Health and Safety practices. Experience of working with multi axis CNC machinery would be a bonus but not essential.

Standard Hours of work Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm and alternative Saturdays paid at overtime rate. Competitive salary, negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
