To carry out electrical testing and inspection of in-house installations in accordance with current regulations and company standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality across all company premises.
Key responsibilities -
Perform electrical testing and inspection on in-house electrical installations across multiple sites.
Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) & document with precision and clarity.
Complete EVC annual testing and document results
Diagnose electrical faults and recommend appropriate remedial actions, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure all work complies with BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and internal safety protocols.
Complete PAT testing and document.
Liaise with internal departments, site managers, and maintenance teams to coordinate testing schedules and access.
Maintain accurate records and issue certificates for all works performed, ensuring traceability and compliance.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and testing instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and logged.
Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times, promoting a culture of safety.
Support reactive and planned maintenance activities and assist with minor electrical installations and upgrades as required and instructed
Provide technical advice and support to site managers and colleagues regarding electrical safety and compliance.
Role requirements -
Essential -
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
City & Guilds 2377 (Portable Appliance Testing).
Proven experience in electrical testing and fault finding within commercial environments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear, concise reports.
Desirable -
ECS/CSCS card.
Experience in carrying out remedial works following EICRs.
Familiarity with electrical testing software (e.g., EasyCert, NICEIC Cert Software).
IPAF certification for working at height.
Knowledge of energy efficiency systems and sustainable technologies.
* Experience with EV charger installation and testing. Basic knowledge of building management systems (BMS)
