Role Overview

As an Electrical Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of electrical projects, using a variety of tools and software. You'll work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are cost-effective and competitively priced.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope documents Use Pricelynx estimating software to generate accurate costings (training provided if needed) Use CAD software to review and interpret electrical drawings and layouts Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery Keep up to date with industry standards, products, and pricing trends

Qualifications/Experience

Proven experience in electrical estimating (preferred) Familiarity with electrical systems and installation practices Experience using Pricelynx and CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)(Training can be provided for both)*
Excellent numerical and analytical skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines Strong analysis skills to assess project costs and budgets effectively Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting Demonstrated experience in cost control to ensure project profitability Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
