Currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a well-established M&E contractor based in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable company with a substantial pipeline of work across Scotland. Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to accurately assess the scope of electrical works.
• Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Collaborate with the wider team to obtain accurate pricing and quotations.
• Analyse and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the project management team to develop project budgets and schedules.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and material costs to ensure accurate pricing and competitive bids.
• Participate in tender review meetings and contribute to post-tender negotiations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction industry, preferably with M&E contracting experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and relevant regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to price tenders for electrical works of varying values and complexities.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field are desirable.
