Estimator/Project Coordinator
to join our dynamic Electrical Division.
This role is based at our
Head Office in Loughton, Essex

The Role and Your Impact
You will be a vital link between sales, design, and project implementation. Your expertise will directly influence the profitability and successful execution of our diverse electrical and specialist projects.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Management:
Prepare, analyze, and submit
accurate tender proposals
on time, ensuring full compliance with specifications.
Cost Estimation:
Deliver precise project cost assessments for a variety of electrical installations and
specialist packages
, including:
PV (Photovoltaics)
Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging
Fire & AOV (Automatic Opening Vent) Systems
Quotation Generation:
Produce timely
minor works quotes
daily and manage internal/external customer inquiries related to costing.
Specification Interpretation:
Confidently interpret technical specifications, drawings, and designs to accurately scope and price projects.
Procurement & Analysis:
Conduct detailed
drawing take-offs
and secure competitive quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
Project Support:
Collaborate on post-order design activities, ensuring the finalized package is comprehensive and ready for site implementation.
Collaboration:
Actively engage with colleagues, M&E contractors, consultants, and End Users to gather essential project information and aid in overall project coordination through to completion and handover.
Administrative Support:
Assist the Office Manager with completing
PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires)
and
ITTs (Invitation to Tender)
as required.
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications
Experience:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the electrical sector
OR
significant experience as a qualified
Electrician
looking for an office transition.
Electrical Knowledge:
A strong foundational understanding of
Electrical Works
and installation methods.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional
organizational skills
with a keen, meticulous focus on accuracy and detail in all documentation.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient use of
Microsoft Office Packages
(especially Excel and Word) for analysis and reporting.
Drive & Organization:
A high level of enthusiasm, numerical proficiency, and the ability to
multitask effectively
while setting clear priorities to meet tight deadlines.
