Permanent contract xe2x80x93 London, UK xe2x80x93 Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Level of Education: Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree or higher
Experience: Minimum 5 yearsTasks

  • Design both high-level architecture and detailed electronics for spacecraft power systems
  • Develop in-house power electronics: DC/DC converters, solar array regulators, battery charge/discharge systems
  • Analyze system requirements and manage power interfaces with other onboard hardware
  • Maintain power budgets and parametric models for the spacecraft
  • Perform EMC analysis and propose mitigation measures
  • Draft and manage RFPs for external suppliers, review technical offers
  • Oversee hardware delivery and subcontractor coordination
  • Define test and validation plans; support integration and subsystem testing
  • Contribute to documentation across the project lifecycle (e.g., FMEA, operational procedures)
  • Participate in formal reviews (MDR, PDR, CDR) and support flight operations
  • Contribute to the development of future spacecraft power system architectures
RequirementsMust-Have Qualifications:Degree in Power Management, Electronics, Aerospace, Physics, or similar5+ years of experience in electrical/power systems engineering, preferably in the space sectorPractical experience with power conditioning/distribution, DC/DC converters, solar arrays, and battery managementStrong knowledge of space development lifecycles and experience with technical reviewsFluent in English with excellent communication and analytical skillsCollaborative mindset and openness to cross-disciplinary workNice to Have:Advanced knowledge of power electronics design and testingFamiliarity with actuator/motor drive systemsHands-on debugging and testing experienceUnderstanding of space standards (ECSS, MIL) and tailoring practicesBenefits
