About the Opportunity



We have a fantastic opportunity for an

Electrical Site Engineer

to join our Industrial Biomass team at our site in Hull to perform planned and reactive maintenance on our biomass steam heating systems and associated equipment, as well as carry out troubleshooting and electrical repair works as required.

The role will involve:

Undertaking planned maintenance, attendance, testing, and record keeping ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry good practice governing LTHW, steam, feed water quality, biomass combustion and records of inspections, maintenance routines and repairs including photographic records including Written Scheme Examinations Facilitating the biomass fuel supply to the site, receiving deliveries, testing and recording results, and handling fuel onto the walking floor system where required utilising a tele-handler Ensuring optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment and adjusting levels as necessary Ensuring accurate and detailed report and record keeping of fuel supply, maintenance, testing, and HSEQ incidents; risk assessments and auditing, via our online HSEQ and service management systems. Monitoring feed water and emissions quality Ensuring a high level of health and safety management on site, encouraging a strong health and safety culture and adherence with legislation and Company policies, including conducting regular audits and completing risk assessments and method statements Liaising on site with the client's engineering and maintenance teams and maintain excellent level of communication on site as required.
What we are looking for:

With demonstratable experience of carrying out frontline electrical maintenance & repairs our successful candidate will also have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Electrical or Engineering educational qualification (C&G, HNC, NVQ or equivalent) HSEQ operator level training (e.g. safety passport/CSCS card), and training on completing site risk assessment/method statements is desirable Completed Boiler operation accreditation scheme (BOAS) qualification for steam operator level is desirable Strong engineering background, with electrical experience Experience in working on heat and steam generating plant and equipment within large industrial sites with a continual heat demand and LTHW and steam systems including pumps, valves, hydraulics, controls Familiarity with DCS/BMS controls and CMMS systems Experience in working with biomass boilers and with biomass fuel is desirable Excellent engineering credentials with a 'hands on' approach to problem solving Dependable and approachable with a willingness to assist the team when problems arise.
