Oversee the electrical systems within a secure custodial facility, managing installations, maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and contractors to ensure the efficient operation of electrical services.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Coordination:
Lead and manage electrical installations and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
Team Leadership:
Coordinate and supervise electrical subcontractors and in-house teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of electrical works, including progress reports, compliance documentation, and change logs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including facilities management and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the facility's operations.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years as an Electrical Site Manager, with experience in custodial or high-security environments preferred.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
Valid ECS/CSCS card.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance.
