Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join a leading electrical contractor in the East Midlands.

We are a NICEIC ECA Electrical Contractor and have been trading since 1950. We cover the Midlands and the UK. We are based at Bardon Hill (Leicestershire) and Watnall (Nottingham). We pride ourselves on providing constant high levels of quality and service coupled with expertise and professionalism.

We require an Electrical Site Supervisor to meet current demands and recently secured contracts.

Candidate Requirements

A proven electrical site supervisor BS7671 (18th edition) qualifications and a solid understanding of the construction industry SSSTS qualified supervising site safety Knowledge of the requirements for lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm and security systems Effective communication skills with a customer focused approach Assist in the production of health and safety risk assessments and method statements Manage the handover and assist in the production of documents including operation and maintenance manuals, certification and as installed documentation Willingness and flexibility to travel including overnight stays

Key Responsibilities

Ability to manage on-site operations for medium/large electrical installation projects Ability to develop plan and manage resources including labour, materials and plant Leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor and develop teams To organise and oversee specialist subcontractors Site health & safety, environmental standards, procedures and best practice

We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of industry regulations preferably with relevant City & Guilds qualifications. You will be competent with Microsoft applications (excel, word etc) and be able to work with estimation software.

The ideal candidate needs to be experienced in the electrical estimating field, having effective communication skills. You will have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

You will be responsible for the overall estimate and project costs based on specification, drawings and technical requirements within defined deadlines.
