The Opportunity
As an
Electrical Site Supervisor
, you will ensure the successful delivery of on-site installation and engineering activities across a range of projects. The goal is clear: deliver high-quality work, on time and within budget, while maintaining exceptional safety and compliance standards.
You will lead electrical site teams and manage subcontractors -- particularly those delivering
civils and enabling works
-- ensuring all interfaces between disciplines are well coordinated. You'll be responsible for driving productivity, managing resources, and maintaining effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders. Your leadership will help ensure projects are delivered safely, to specification, and aligned with operational and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Plan labour and subcontractor requirements in line with project programmes
Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities, including civil and structural works
Ensure subcontractor performance meets safety, quality and programme expectations
Review and approve method statements and risk assessments from all subcontractors
Issue work instructions, drawings and specifications to site teams and subcontractors
Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks, ensuring full compliance with PPE and site discipline
Track progress and productivity across direct and subcontracted workforces
Conduct daily site briefings, reviews and ensure prompt resolution of issues or delays
Requisition, control and optimise materials and plant on site
Verify delivery documentation, process returns, and segregate non-conforming materials
Plan and coordinate plant and equipment in accordance with project staging and risk assessments
Ensure all assets and subcontractor equipment are compliant and safely operated
Maintain accurate site diaries, documentation, permits and progress reports
Support cost control, variation identification and adherence to commercial procedures
Attend client and coordination meetings, providing clear updates and technical input
Promote a culture of quality, accountability and zero-harm safety
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
SSSTS or SMSTS essential
SPEN COMP authorisation preferable
Strong electrical installation and construction site experience
Proven experience supervising both direct labour and subcontractors (including civils)
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
Ability to identify, manage and mitigate on-site risks through proactive leadership
Commercial awareness with the ability to support project budgets and productivity goals
Effective communicator and confident in managing stakeholder relationships
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
