Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. The role will include working nationally, occasionally working away and night work.

Responsibilities



Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical installations to identify and rectify faults promptly. Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools, ensuring minimal downtime. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades. Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and health & safety regulations.

Requirements



Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and components. Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools including drills and saws. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively. Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised certification. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively under pressure. Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times. A valid UK driving licence is preferred for site visits or travelling between locations.
