We are looking to recruit for an Electrician to join our Building Services team based in Walsall.



Working as an Electrician you will be responsible for undertaking the full range of electrical engineering maintenance activities, observing all relevant safety standards and procedures, to ensure a safe working environment for all patients, visitors and staff, including activities, which may be complex and/or non-routine.

What you'll do:





To work in hazardous areas taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment. Actively participate in the operation of Skanska CAFM system including completion of all paperwork and computerised tasks required. (Including completion of all job dockets and time sheets). Work overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required. Ability to prioritise changing workloads and to act pro-actively to address work requests in conjunction with the Electrical Supervisor. Ability to maintain and update own maintenance records, in paper format and also electronically. Problem solves technical issues, fault diagnosis and solution finding. Ability to use hand tools and test equipment. Plans own ongoing maintenance activities. Undertake other duties appropriate to trade.

What you'll bring to the role:





Possession of a recognised electrical trade qualification to City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). 18th Edition. You must be able to pass a full DBS check. Experience of working within a hospital environment. Proven experience working as an Electrician. Knowledge of generator maintenance. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
