Join our growing Highway Infrastructure Service as a Qualified Electrician
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and qualified Electrician to become part of our Highway Infrastructure Service.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting a customer-focused street lighting team, working alongside apprentices, early career professionals, and multi-disciplinary project teams. As you'll regularly interact with members of the public, a professional and approachable manner is essential.
What you'll do:
Ensure all operations are delivered safely, to specification, and to the highest standards using the correct materials.
Identify, repair, and report defects promptly and accurately.
Maintain clear and accurate administrative records to support quality assurance processes.
What we're looking for:
City & Guilds A & B Electrical Qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding.
Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to the role.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and maintain diplomacy when dealing with customers.
Ability to carry out inspections effectively.
Previous experience and/or knowledge of working in street lighting would be desirable.
As this role involves driving Council vehicles to carry out duties, applicants must hold a current and valid driving licence.
