The Role
As an Electronic Assembly Operative at Purex, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring the electrical components used in our clean air extraction and filtration systems. Working from technical schematics and wiring diagrams, you will ensure that all units are built to specification and meet the company's high standards for quality and safety
Key Duties
We're looking for someone who will:
Assemble and wire electrical panels and components within filtration units.
Work from electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Terminate cables, fit switches, relays, and other control devices.
Conduct basic testing to ensure functionality and safety before handover.
Identify and report faults or potential improvements during assembly.
Maintain an organised and safe working environment in line with company procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Collaborate with mechanical assembly and engineering teams to resolve build queries.
Skills
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions and technical documentation.
Ability to hand assemble small components, and with training, confident in using hand tools and other relevant equipment.
An understanding of the importance of working to standard operating procedures, quality standards and meeting requirements of electrical safety and quality control standards.
Experience in electrical assembly or panel wiring in a manufacturing environment.
Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or 3).
Experience with low-voltage control systems or similar products.
Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
