NVC is looking for an Electronic Engineer (Ref.: EE202501)
who can turn complex system schematics into robust, production-ready mainboards. You will own the full design cycle for multi-layer, high-speed digital/RF PCB assemblies that integrate NPUs, baseband processors, high-speed SerDes, power-management and control MCUs. Beyond layout, you will select components, drive signal-integrity analysis, oversee board bring-up, write low-level test firmware and support EMC/compliance testing. Close collaboration with RF, DSP, FPGA, firmware, mechanical and test engineers is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Schematic & Layout
Capture schematics for NPU, DDR, high-speed PHYs, baseband, RF front-ends and power rails.
Route 6-20-layer PCBs to meet impedance, length-matching and EMI requirements; optimise placement for thermal and manufacturability (DFM).
Component & BoM Ownership
Select cost-effective, long-life components; manage BoM, footprints and lifecycle data (silicon EOL, export-control).
Signal / Power Integrity
Run SI/PI simulations (IBIS, S-parameters) for >10 Gbps SerDes, LVDS, PCIe, USB3 or Ethernet lanes.
Validate PDN impedance, decoupling strategy and clock strategy.
Prototype Bring-up & Test
Develop board-bring-up scripts, JTAG/SWD debug; write or modify MCU firmware for diagnostics.
Execute functional, thermal, and stress tests; document results and corrective actions.
Compliance & Production Support
Support CE/FCC and MIL-STD EMC, safety and environmental testing.
Generate test procedures for manufacturing ATE; resolve factory yield issues if necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Interface daily with RF, antenna, FPGA/SoC, embedded-SW and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
BEng/MSc in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
3+ years hands-on PCB design (? 6-layer) for high-speed digital or RF products.
Proficient with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro or equivalent EDA; able to read/write IPC-2581, ODB++.
Demonstrated layout of processors or SoCs with DDR3/4/LPDDR, high-speed SerDes (? 5 Gbps) and switch-mode power supplies.
Working knowledge of MCU bring-up (C/C++) and basic FPGA concepts (clocking, pin-planning).
Experience with oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum/network analysers and protocol decoders.
Strong documentation, problem-solving and English communication skills.
Desirable
Experience integrating NXP Layerscape, or similar NPUs/basebands.
RF path layout (LNA, PA, mixers, filters) at >20 GHz; familiarity with phased-array control buses.
EMI/EMC mitigation for CE/FCC, DO-160 or MIL-STD-461.
Defence or satcom background; candidates with previous military service welcome.
Familiarity with Python/LabVIEW for automated hardware test.
Package
: 30k - 50k in salary depends on experience + benefits package (bonus and share options).
