Role: Engineering Manager - Electronics

Location: Bedford UK

Salary: 65-75,000 dependent on experience

We are searching for an

Engineering Manager

to manage a small, friendly and growing team at the forefront in designing and producing

environmental monitoring devices.

In this role you will manage a cross functional development team to provide both New Product Development and existing product continuation engineering, delivering sustainable, profitable and innovative technology enhancing our class beating range of products.

Education - Essential

Bachelor degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience). Leadership qualification Level 5 or above. Quality assurance auditor trained CQI-IRCA ISO 9001:2015 or similar is desired
Required Experience

Demonstrate Engineering & design skills necessary to develop leading edge products with minimal & controlled risk. Minimum of 5 years of broad experience of electronics, firmware, software, mechanical design, sensing & measurement technologies. Conversant with technical principles, technologies, product requirements, and engineering best practices. Technical project lead and project management. Experience in achieving product certification through self-certification or using a third-party.
Desired Experience

Technical and managing experience spanning analog / digital electronics, mechanical engineering, software, firmware & materials. Experience of I.S product approvals. Experience of adopting an Agile type of project management approach, including the use of Jira (or equivalent). Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Design of Experiments, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design and FMEA are desired.
