Job Description

Glensound design & manufacture audio broadcast equipment. They are leaders in their field, and produce equipment to the highest standards.

They have an immediate opportunity for someone to join the production department as an Electronics Manufacturing Technician with particular focus on high level soldering skills.

As an Electronics Manufacturing Technician you tasks will include

- physically screwing printed circuit boards and components into metalwork casings
- solder the wiring and any through hole components together
- strip wires, and make cable looms
- support the Test Engineers by performing go/ no go tests on part assembled equipment

The production build quantities are anywhere from 6 - 200 units, with over 200 different units in the regular range of products.

The Glensound factory is in the Maidstone town centre, where there is currently a production department of 12 people. It is well connected by bus and rail links.

As electronic components are small, dexterity and good eyesight are essential.

This position is aimed at some one with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. Any suitable candidates will be offered and interview within a few days at the Maidstone factory.

This is a full time role with two optional week day work patterns available (day time).

Paid holiday is 22 days plus public bank holidays per year. Employer's contribution to a pension scheme is in addition to your basic salary.
