Job Description

Role: Electronics Test Technician.

Rate: 40pphr, outside IR35

Location: Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. You will be required to work 4-5 days per week onsite.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Applicants must currently hold or have held UK SC clearance within the past 18 months.

Responsibilities

Conduct IPC-level inspections of electronic assemblies during production and pre-test stages Execute formal test procedures and accurately record results, including hardware, software, and firmware configurations Use standard test equipment to take precise measurements Identify and report discrepancies in test documentation

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Proven ability to meet high standards under tight deadlines Direct collaboration experience with engineering teams Prior involvement in Defence-related projects IPC inspection certification BTEC qualification in Electronics (ONC/HNC/HND) or equivalent

Skills & Attributes

Proficient in using test equipment: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, multimeters, and power supplies Capable of maintaining multiple production test and reference setups Skilled in fault diagnosis and repair at component level for both analogue and digital circuits Competent with Microsoft Office tools Must hold current UK SC clearance Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow professionally Advanced manual testing expertise Confident in using hand tools and electronic test equipment Able to interpret electronic/mechanical drawings and test specifications
