Rose Fendlen Law are seeking an ambitious Paralegal with a strong interest in Employment Law to join our growing team in Wigan.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with prior experience in a legal environment, whether in employment law or another area, who is eager to develop their skills and specialise in this rewarding field.
You will support solicitors and fee earners in managing a busy caseload of claimant employment law matters from inception through to conclusion. This is a paralegal role, but you will be trained and developed into a fully-fledged fee earner, managing your own cases with support from partners.
This role is an excellent stepping stone towards securing a training contract or qualifying through the CILEX route. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
We operate a hybrid working policy, allowing 2 days per week working from home.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Assisting solicitors and fee earners with case preparation and legal research
Drafting legal documents, letters, and witness statements
Preparing court and tribunal bundles
Managing client communications by phone, email, and in-person
Liaising with third parties including ACAS, Counsel, and Respondent solicitors
Organising case files, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring smooth case progression
Attending Employment Tribunals and client meetings where required
Over time, progressing to managing your own caseload under supervision
Experience required:
Law degree (or equivalent legal qualification)
Previous experience working in a legal environment (ideally 6+ months) desirable - doesn't need to be in employment law
Strong interest in employment law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Salary:
25,000 - 30,000 DOE, plus bonus
