We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Team Leader
x 2 to join our Trailblazer project. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to provide exceptional service delivery and support to our customers. As a Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to move people into employment and improve their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage People and Resources:
Lead a dedicated team within a customer-focused, targeted service delivery organisation.
Employment and Education:
Utilize your proven management experience to implement effective employment and training techniques, providing clear information, advice, and guidance.
Local Labour Market Insight:
Leverage your knowledge of the local labour market and training/education opportunities to benefit our customers.
Legislation and Policy:
Stay informed about relevant legislation and current issues affecting the social housing sector, particularly Welfare Reform and related government policies.
Partnerships and Multi-Agency Working:
Develop effective partnerships and multi-agency collaborations to enhance our service offer, including managing recruitment events.
Performance Management:
Implement performance management and quality assurance processes, using business intelligence and customer insights to target resource deployment effectively.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven experience in managing people and resources within a customer-focused service delivery environment.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of employment, education/training techniques, and the local labour market.
Legislation:
Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting the social housing sector.
Partnerships:
Experience in developing partnerships and multi-agency working.
Performance Management:
Experience in performance management and quality assurance processes.
Driving Licence:
It would be advantageous to hold a full, valid driving license with access to a vehicle and the ability to drive across the borough, although not essential.

You will have a proven track record in:
Effective communication, dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone.
Providing advice and support to customers on matters to access employment and training.
Multi-agency working to deliver a cost effective, bespoke service.
Performance management
The successful candidate will have:
Good Communications and listening skills
An ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, colleagues and third parties.
An ability to interpret and lead on policies and procedures.
Experience of working in an advisory position and able to develop action plans for employment, education, and training to support customers to achieve goals.
Experience of providing advice on CV, applications, job hunting and interview techniques
Experience of building relationships with stakeholders to achieve a better outcome.
Experience of working in a performance driven environment.
Understanding of working in a community- based setting, including working with harder to reach and socially excluded communities and engaging with them to progress towards employment.
