ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Homes Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the council\xe2\x80\x99s empty homes are returned for letting to the required Stevenage lettable standard in a timely and cost-efficient way.

You will lead on implementing the recommendations of the void service review including service standards, policies and procedures associated with the management of Void properties.

The key tasks are:

  • Responsibility for leading and developing a team of property professionals to achieve key performance targets.
  • To ensure compliance with all legal requirements in relation to void property repairs and maintenance.
  • To ensure all void properties are returned to a lettable (Stevenage Standard) within the specified target timescales.
  • Ensure that data quality during the void period is robust, maintained, and accurate.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that financial controls are being adhered to and followed, monitoring budget expenditure in excess of \xc2\xa31M and reporting variances.
  • To provide reports and analysis on all relevant performance indicators including time and cost.

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the housing or property management sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and regulations.
  • Budget management experience.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
