Job Summary

ECT Limited is one of the largest suppliers of Energy Consultancy Services throughout the UK offering a broad range of professional services from Domestic & Commercial EPC's to Energy Audits. Due to recent expansion, we are looking to recruit a Trainee Energy Surveyor to join our energy team.

The role

Using a handheld device to assess the construction and energy characteristics of buildings Surveying circa 20 properties a week around your region Submitting accurate survey data Working closely with colleagues to understand energy saving methods Detailing energy-saving methods and concepts from data captured during the survey Ensuring weekly checks are completed on company vehicles and the office are notified of any maintenance required

Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in an energy or surveying role is preferred but not crucial.

Essential Skills:

A full driving license Ability to self-motivate and work on your own initiative An analytical and problem-solving mind Ability to organise daily workloads and work to specific deadlines Communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues/customers & clients Provide detailed information relating to surveys/assessments undertaken Reliable, professional and flexible Desire and drive to develop your abilities with the goal being a long-term career

Training

All training costs will be covered by the company to provide the successful candidate with professional, industry-approved qualifications.

You will initially attend a week-long training course where you will receive a City and Guilds Qualification

You must ensure that your evidence portfolio is completed within 2 weeks of your training course

2 weeks further training will be given on site, with a Senior Field Surveyor

This training will be completed within the Senior Field Surveyor's working area and will require you to stay over for 2 weeks - hotel and meal expenses covered
