LCCOS holds the UK Customer Service Excellence (CSE) Award, The National Archives (TNA) Archives Service Accreditation, and Arts Council England Museum Accreditation. The combined staff in UCL LCCOS totals around 440.
About the role
Engagement & Exhibitions team: The Engagement Manager role is part of the Engagement & Exhibitions team of the UCL Museums and Cultural Programmes within the Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science (LCCOS) department. Comprising of specialist staff spanning Exhibitions, Live Engagement and Visitor Services, this team is responsible for creating high-quality, creative and meaningful experiences for audiences and visitors to UCL Museums using UCL's collections, spaces and research.
UCL Museums and Cultural Programmes: UCL Museums and Cultural Programmes looks after UCL's four museums - Grant Museum of Zoology, Pathology Museum, Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology and UCL Art Museum - and allied object collections. The UCL Museums and Cultural Programmes team uses UCL's rich and diverse collections to support teaching, research and public engagement.
This is an internal secondment role/acting up, available to current UCL staff only. Eligible UCL staff will have until Friday 9 January 2026 to be considered for this role. Hybrid Working: This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on campus.
This post will be funded until 31/07/2026 in the first instance.

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.
About you
We are looking for candidates with proven knowledge of best practice around producing cultural programmes for and with audiences. An understanding of arts / culture / theatre / engagement, and experience of working in these kinds of environments to produce engagement activities and create public programmes. Excellent team working skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as both part of a multi-disciplinary team and on own initiative. The post holder should have proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage a demanding and varied workload and the ability to work creatively and innovate in the delivery of programmes, events and exhibitions.
