At University Centre Quayside (UCQ), we believe in empowering individuals and communities through education. As a dynamic, independent provider of Further and Higher Education, our Essential Work Skills programmes help people develop the skills and confidence to enter or progress in work.
You'll build relationships with Jobcentre Plus, charities, community groups and local employers to promote our Essential Work Skills programmes and help unemployed adults and low-paid workers access free, life-changing training.
Responsibilities include:
Engaging referral partners and promote learner opportunities
Building links with employers to promote pre-employment and upskilling offers
Providing impartial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
Working flexibly across home, field and occasional office locations
Representing UCQ at events, job fairs and networking forums
We're looking for someone with:
A track record of engaging referral partners and employers
Experience in employability or skills programmes
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping people succeed
Confidence working to ambitious targets and deadlines
Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ICT proficiency
You'll need to hold Level 2 literacy and numeracy as a minimum (or be willing to work towards) and have a full driving licence with access to a vehicle. A Level 2+ IAG qualification is desirable but not essential.
