We're looking for a hands-on Site Machinery Engineer to oversee the maintenance, servicing, and safe operation of all machinery and equipment at our site in Clun.
This role is critical to ensuring smooth production, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across our operations.
You'll work closely with production, quality assurance, and clinical teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and compliance.
Accountabilities
Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of production machinery
Respond promptly to breakdowns and faults, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently
Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing schedules, and compliance checks
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialist repairs or upgrades
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Ensure all machinery meets health and safety standards and regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment optimisation
Work closely with production and operations teams to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency
Skills, Training and Knowledge Required
Essential:
Proven experience in machinery maintenance, preventative maintenance practices, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and risk assessments
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Machinery Experience, proven ability to maintain production & automated machinery (inc CAD) to ensure production flows.

IT Skills, including Excel and Word, basic report and document creation
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
Attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
IOSH/NEBOSH certification (desirable).
