An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer based in Little Walden. The main purpose of the role is to provide electro-mechanical support for our baking, mixing and packing lines, producing baked products and powder blends. Also, general site maintenance and basic fabrication works.


The working hours are as follows - Mon - Thu 0800 - 1700, Fri 0700 - 1600.


Main Responsibilities:

To ensure supervision and safe operating procedures for visiting contractors To maintain Health & Safety rules and regulations To identify potential hazards/risks to the Health & Safety Manager/responsible person upon discovery To ensure all PPM schedules are completed and developed using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques To initiate improvement plans in a pragmatic and proactive manner To assist the engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts To follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory To undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment

Education & Experience:

Electrical/Mechanical qualification, HND FMCG experience Stick, tig and mig welding ideally Working knowledge of PPM systems Trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics and resolution experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fork lift license Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach DSEAR/ATEX experience Dedicated and enthusiastic individual, who can demonstrate strong team working, problem-solving and communication skills.
