Role Details:
Are you ready to lead the charge in one of the UK's most critical engineering programmes? We're looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to take ownership of the Shiplift Safety Justification Plan (SJP) a cornerstone of our end of design life strategy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading the production, upkeep, and implementation of the Shiplift Safety Justification Plan.
  • Providing engineering oversight across multiple Shiplift workstreams.
  • Leading and mentoring Safety Case and Design Engineers
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure Design Authority (DA) requirements are met
  • Driving technical assurance, optioneering, and programme delivery
  • Championing a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Key Requirements:
Essential:
  • Degree in relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • Charted Engineer status (or working towards)
  • Deep knowledge of nuclear regulatory compliance and site Authorised Conditions.
Desirable:
  • Experience in nuclear safety case development
  • Strong background in technical documentation, project engineering ans stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and deliver under pressure.
