Location: This role can be based at any one of our UK Bakery sites dependant on your location
Salary: Up to 66,000 dependant on experience
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Days based

Are you a Project Engineer or Maintenance Manager with experience of project delivery ideally from a manufacturing background?

Due to an internal promotion and continued investment in new product development we are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager.

Reporting in to the Group Engineering Manager and being a key part of our Manufacturing Excellence (MEX) Dept., you\'ll identify, win and deliver the MEX Asset Care Improvement Project capital expenditure Agenda OTIF, engaging key stakeholders across all levels.

The MEX Team are dedicated to executing Improvement Projects throughout the UK bakery network from London to Scotland, therefore you will be fully mobile and able to travel as required.

As part of our Manufacturing Excellence Team, you\'ll be responsible for the delivery of all agreed Engineering Projects on time, to agreed standards and on budget ensuring that Continuous Improvement is embedded every time.

We\'re looking for an effective communicator, someone experienced in leadership and people management. You\'ll be able to coach and influence the cross-functional site teams to enable delivery of the MEX Asset Care Improvement Project Agenda.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

  • Safety - To be accountable for own and team\'s adherence to relevant safety standard across all activities (including external contractors) inclusive of CDM definitions
  • Identify, and deliver the Manufacturing Excellence Asset Care Project Plan
  • Identify, engage and manage the 3rd Party Vendor community associated to Project Delivery and Nationwide Maintenance
  • Negotiate and purchase assets for Asset Care Projects alongside procurement
  • Provide Asset Care and Root Cause Problem Solving support into sites as necessary
  • Ensure all New Assets are provided with a comprehensive Early Equipment Management plan
Essential Ingredients
  • As you will support our sites across the UK, you\'ll require a valid driving licence.
  • Proven project management experience within engineering (manufacturing environment)
  • H&S/Food Safety systems & legislation knowledge e.g. IOSH - able to ensure a safe working environment.
  • IT knowledge - able to use widespread functions within relevant software including; Microsoft Office, MS Project
  • Be influential, articulate and persuasive, a relationship builder- establishing credibility with both internal and external contacts at all levels analysing and problem-solving skills - Data Driven Problem Solver
  • Works collaboratively to make decisions with the input of the wider team
  • Possess an Engineering Qualification such as HND, HNC, BEng or equivalent
Desirable
  • Expert knowledge of project management processes and O&M development and issuing
  • Financial and Budget Management Experience
