Job Summary
We are seeking an experiences Stores operative to join our dynamic team. This is a stand alone role to support the company's manufacturing activities across stores, stock control, goods in quality and despatch areas.
Responsibilities
Maintain stock levels and investigate anomalies
Purchase replacement spares
Administrate users and allocate accounts
Obtain quotes and where required raise purchase orders and DAED's
Input new part descriptions and allocate spares to new parts
Progress chase repairs
Administrate consignment stock items (air and water fittings)
Administer and control transport chain held at supplier
Administrate and control filter mesh stocks held at supplier
Observe Kardex bookings and advise Engineering and Facilities Manager or Deputy of errors
Administrate Kardex stocks and correct when errors are found
Book stock items into Kardex
Administrate goods received against PO's and progress and chase any discrepancies
Raise and administrate all PO's within Maintenance department
Raise and administrate all DAED's for all maintenance purchase over 1000
Liaise with suppliers
Take ownership of maintenance spend spreadsheet , allocating costs to relevant cost centres
Report to and advise Engineering and Facilities Manager and Deputy of "against budget spend" as well as advise on cost allocation and other large spends
Place orders, advise delivery dates and liaise with accounts department
Obtain best process and lead time
PPE - When given specification and quantity required by departmental heads or shift management, order stock as required.

The person:
You will have worked in an engineering environment previously
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Be proactive, and able to use own initiative
Experience in a fast-moving engineering or similar stores environment.
Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a desire to learn
Ability to work under own direction and monitor own workload
Ability to diligently follow work procedures and practices
Numerate and literate
IT literate
