The role
The role combines Civil Engineering and similar skills with Project Finance. Day to day activities in the role will include assisting the team's senior consultants in the development and delivery of Due Diligence and Technical Advice Reports, reviewing technical and commercial information and supporting with client engagement.
In this role, you will work on infrastructure projects, typically comprising technical due diligence to inform lenders, buyers or sellers of infrastructure projects. You will be supporting engagements of lenders technical advice/due diligence and construction or operations phase monitoring for lenders.
As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on different type of infrastructure projects including Light Rail, Roads, Airports, Ports, Social Infrastructure Projects, among others. The focus of the technical due diligence work is to assist in the evaluation of potential investments by identifying and assessing technical, operational, commercial and reputational risks and opportunities.
Additionally, you will be trained, mentored and developed to deliver due diligence and technical advice reports to lenders and their legal advisors.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting in the delivery of due diligence and technical advice reports to lenders and their legal advisors.
Leading and supporting engagements of lenders technical advice/due diligence and construction or operations phase monitoring for lenders.
Drafting sections of reports and other deliverables.
Supporting in the preparation of commercial proposals.
Active involvement in marketing, business development, and managing client relationships.
Supporting in developing of new tools to facilitate the delivery of high-quality output.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong Academic Background in a relevant discipline - civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, pavement engineering, construction management, transport planning or similar degrees with coursework in engineering.
Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in another language, especially in French and Spanish, is highly desirable.
Commercially minded and interested in developing relationships with clients.
Willingness to travel.
Knowledge of PPP procurement and Project Finance is highly desirable.
The environment is fast-paced and global (with projects in all continents from South and North America to Far East Asia and Australia). There is no set timeline for advancement, and you will be encouraged to take on as much responsibility as you can. As soon as you are ready, the role will involve extensive client interaction.
