About the role
As an Engineering Technician, you play a key role in developing and maintaining bespoke validation test equipment, as well as assisting in building panel test rigs for third-party approval testing. This is an excellent opportunity to add value and learn from established and experienced engineers.
In this role, you will work closely with electronics hardware design engineers, supporting with prototyping of electronic circuits, and the verification and testing of new prototype PCBs & panels. You'll be responsible for the electronics development lab and maintaining prototype components & materials.
Additionally, you'll get involved in EMC and environmental testing for new products, and provide technical administrative support. This includes assisting with the implementation of new BOMs and component approval tasks within our company ERP system.
About you:
You will hold a BTEC, HNC or a relevant qualification in electronics.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively across the R&D team and the wider business
You will be a problem solver, with a willingness to overcome challenges, learn and adapt.
You can work independently, taking full responsibility for tasks from a given brief. * You are able to pro-actively find solutions to fulfil the task at hand.

  • You will enjoy practical, hands-on tasks with a can-do mindset.
You will be skilled with hand and power tools, system wiring and fault finding.
You will be familiar with benchtop test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, DVMs
You will be confident with IT equipment to deliver administrative tasks
You value organisation, attention to detail and timely delivery.
