MARKETING MANAGER (RWC 2025 LOC)

FIXED-TERM CONTRACT UNTIL AUTUMN 2025

BASED IN TWICKENHAM

As Marketing Manager, you will report to the Managing Director of the LOC but work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing in the Content and Marketing Team. You will be responsible for delivering both digital and physical marketing campaigns relating to RWC 2025.You will have meticulous planning skills, be an excellent communicator and be capable of managing both internal and external stakeholders to deliver on World Rugby\xe2\x80\x99s audience and revenue objectives.

In this role, you will demonstrate expert knowledge of all the component parts associated with delivering a successful campaign. You will work collaboratively with various teams within the EventsCo department, such as the Content Studio and Experiential team to flight and execute various projects that will ladder up to the department\xe2\x80\x99s audience growth, data acquisition and revenue targets. Whether launching the new RWC 2025 brand, creating noise and coverage around big moments leading up to the tournament, or working to promote new fan experiences at this tournament, your work will be crucial to the overall success of our RWC 2025 vision.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILIITES

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the LOC, EventsCo and external partners
  • Develop overarching through the line campaign strategies for RWC 2025 including Social, CRM, PR/Editorial, Broadcast, OOH and Earned Media
  • Project manage, coordinate and execute campaign delivery, in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage agencies from briefing through to delivery ensuring creative concepts deliver on objectives, needs and expectations
  • Ensure plans, concepts and marketing tools are delivered on time, in full and on budget
  • Assist in defining campaign success metrics, aligning with either data acquisition, revenue or audience growth per project
  • Manage brand budgets across planning, tracking and reporting and make recommendations on spend across channels
  • Support the creation of written materials for digital, print, social and media materials for all marketing campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial Partnerships team, to develop the role partners will play in tournament campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with LOC and EventsCo teams to understand requirements and critical delivery timelines. These teams include but are not limited to Content Studio, Experiential, Communications, Competitions, and Women in Rugby
  • Manage the creation of event branding for venues, fan zones and promotional materials
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a marketing management role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans that led to measurable business growth
  • Strong experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing
  • Excellent team and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating a stakeholder group
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt strategies to changing market conditions.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.

The role offers hybrid and flexible working, taking into account the event needs during planning and operations phases. Initially, this will be 3-days a week out of our Twickenham office.
