English Graduate Teaching Assistant - Literacy & Intervention Focus
Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: September 2025 - July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: xc2xa3105.00 per day (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025
Are you an English graduate from a top UK university, ready to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school?
We're looking for an English Graduate Teaching Assistant to support literacy development and provide targeted interventions at a vibrant secondary school in Hounslow.
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. You'll assist in class, deliver small group sessions, and help students who need extra support in accessing the English curriculum.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering reading and writing interventions in small groups
- Assisting students with SEND or low literacy levels
- Collaborating with the English Department and Literacy Lead
We're looking for:
- A First-Class or high 2:1 degree in English or related subject
- Passion for reading, literature, and supporting young learners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full academic year availability (September 2025 - July 2026)
