Both positions will support the preparation of planning applications, environmental assessments, and renewable energy development projects.
Key Responsibilities (adjusted by level)
Prepare, review, and support planning applications.
Assist with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), including drafting and reviewing chapters, collating data, and coordinating input from sub-consultants.
Research planning policy and provide analysis to support client projects.
Draft planning statements, appeal submissions, and supporting documentation.
Liaise with local authorities, statutory consultees, and stakeholders.
Conduct planning research using planning portals, GIS tools, and policy documents.
Attend client and team meetings, prepare agendas, and manage project files.
Conduct site visits in line with Health & Safety procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Experienced Role
Degree in Town Planning, Environmental Planning, Geography, or a related discipline.
2-5+ years' experience in planning consultancy, development management, or environmental planning.
Understanding of UK and Irish planning legislation and policy frameworks.
Experience in EIA coordination and planning application preparation.
RTPI chartership or working towards chartership (desirable).
Graduate Role
Degree in Town Planning, Environmental Planning, Geography, or related field.
Strong research and writing skills, with an interest in environmental planning and renewable energy.
Awareness of Irish/UK planning systems desirable, but full training will be provided.
Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and proactive.
