The Environmental Services team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Technical Officer to provide advice and guidance and undertake inspections and associated enforcement actions on Environmental Services matters involving both commercial business and members of the public.
You will report to the Environmental Services Team leader and will work closely with a team of motivated officers. This role will provide practical experience with a primary responsibility to carry out technical duties in relation to planning consultations, car parking, air quality, environmental permitting, climate change, contaminated land, environmental sampling and public health.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be, but not limited to: Carrying out inspections, visits, investigations and enforcement action
Examine planning applications and advise on environmental services constraints
Prepare and service notices
Prepare and present reports

Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (required)
