Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to fabricate, build, and install roofing systems. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as the capability to read and interpret schematics. The Roofer will be responsible for ensuring that roofs are constructed to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and install roofing systems according to specifications and schematics. Build and repair roofs using various materials such as shingles, metal, or tiles. Plumb and weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity. Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely on-site. Inspect roofs for damage or wear, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and construction workers, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in roofing applications. Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately. Experience with heavy lifting and working at heights is required. A background in carpentry or construction is advantageous but not mandatory.
