Are you passionate about equality, human rights, and making a difference in your community?

Swansea Council is looking for a proactive and organised Administrative Officer to join our Access to Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our commitment to equality, inclusion, and excellent public service.

What you'll do:

Provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Access to Services team. Arrange meetings, take minutes, respond to emails, and disseminate information to colleagues and partners. Support the work of the Strategic Equality and Future Generations Board, Human Rights Steering Group, and other key forums. Assist with corporate consultation activities, including survey data entry and collating feedback. Monitor budgets and provide financial/statistical information to support effective team management.

What we're looking for:

Previous experience in administrative work within an office environment. Confident IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access). Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative. Ability to work flexibly, including options for home working in line with Council policy. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential - support is available for learning.

Why join us?

Flexible working days and terms to help you balance work and life. Be part of a team that values people, innovation, and working together. Ongoing training and development opportunities. Make a real impact on the lives of Swansea's residents.

Equality

We welcome applications from all sections of the community. Appointment will be made on merit.
