Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for escorting and assisting in the transportation of abnormal loads safely and efficiently across the UK. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely escort our HGV trucks carrying abnormal loads to designated locations. Load and unload static caravans, performing lifting of ramps and stands when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving would be advantageous, though training will be given. Familiarity with escorting, using a CB radio and following route plans. Ability to drive safely under various conditions while adhering to all safety protocols. Physically fit for the lifting and manual handling tasks whilst loading/unloading static caravans. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
