We are looking for a part time ESOL Tutor to join our STEP Forward Scheme. This role is 17.5 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Wednesday. The role is paying 14,241.50 per annum.
Please note this role is open to female applicants only and part of a gender specific programme.
The role of the tutor is to deliver ESOL with an emphasis on speaking and listening, Digital Skills and Cultural Orientation classes to refugees and other migrants whose first language is not English. Classes range from pre-entry to level 1 and will be a mixture of bespoke courses and formal qualifications. The ESOL Tutor will work closely with the wider teams to ensure the people we work with become more independent and less isolated and work collaboratively to improve service and support all Quality Assurance processes.
You will need:
Experience of lesson planning and preparing schemes of work, with an ability to design interesting and creative classroom activities/resources, that will engage and stimulate learners
Experience of assessing levels of learning
Experience of teaching ESOL to different client groups
Ability to manage a class with additional needs and working with learners who have had no previous formal education
Experience of successfully meeting demanding administrative tasks, to ensure compliance with contract requirements
Level 5 Teaching Qualification or above
