Job Description

The successful candidate will Manage and oversee the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of the full range of Estates Services equipment. Perform work including activities which require comparison of a range of options, complex facts requiring analysis to resolve technical issues in complex and multifaceted equipment / situations. Responsible for ensuring safe systems of work are maintained inline with HTM and recognised codes of practice by carrying out Authorised Person Duties for Lifts, Ventilation Systems, Working at Height, Water Systems and Pressure Systems (this list is not exhaustive) following training, assessment and formal appointment by the Trust. Undertake condition surveys, evaluating inspection reports and perform the duties of a Clerk of Works to oversee capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards, procedures and specifications.



Plan and organise major interruptions, maintenance activities and manage work of contractors and directly employed labour. Provide practical training to others and evaluates work. Manage directly employed labour inline with all relevant Trust Policies, carryout disciplinary and attendance management investigations providing detailed investigation/management reports. Deputise for Estates Manager (Operations) on the full range of management duties as well as providing technical advice to other Estates staff and contractors.
