Estimating Administrator
. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive environment while gaining hands-on experience in a busy office setting.
Position Overview
The Estimating Administrator plays a key role in supporting the estimating team by managing tender enquiries, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating information flow between internal divisions, clients, and suppliers. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Enquiry Management
Distribute tender enquiries to the relevant division(s) for review and decision-making.
Record and track decisions on whether to tender.
If not tendering, inform the client promptly with clear reasoning.
If tendering, update the Tender Sheet and circulate all relevant enquiries.
Supplier & Quote Coordination
Log all quotations received from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate records of pricing information for use in estimates.
Project Documentation & Information Control
Keep the project folder up to date with all additional information received from clients, consultants, and suppliers.
Notify the estimating team of any updates to ensure they are working with the latest information.
Check completeness of information received and highlight any gaps or missing details.
Create and maintain a document register for use in tenders and offers.
Administrative Support
Assist with completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
Review and verify invoices for cold rolled products.
Support the estimating team with administrative tasks as required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with document control processes (desirable).
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in an administrative role (preferred).
Knowledge of tendering processes and construction documentation (advantageous but not essential).
