JOB DESCRIPTION



The Greystone Group of companies is a leading manufacturer of Cast Stone and GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) Cladding products to the Construction industry. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established team at our Halifax manufacturing unit.



Due to continued growth the Greystone Group are seeking to employ an experienced estimating assistant to work in our Cast Stone department. The ideal person will have either worked in a Builders Merchant or worked for a manufacturer in the Builders Merchant supply chain.



Candidates preferably will have worked in a busy, fast-moving environment. The right person should be able to work under their own initiative and has previously been employed in the precast concrete/cast stone sector.



You will be pro-active in your general outlook. A problem solver with an overall enthusiasm to 'get the job done' as our customers demand.



Candidates working in other areas of Construction supply chain manufacturing may be considered. CAD experience would be advantageous.



Job Role & Responsibilities



Registering enquiries and ensuring all incoming documentation is saved in job folders. All resulting communications are recorded and stored appropriately.

Prepare take-offs from architectural drawings

Prepare detailed estimates and forward to customers to strict deadlines.

Check all incoming purchase orders

Deal with Technical/ product sample requests.

Liaise with our finance department to ensure all accounts are in order

Ensuring customer PO's are acknowledged with company T&C's

Instruct and liaise with our design department to ensure that product drawings are issued to our customers in a timely manner.

Actively ensure that the issued drawings are approved/signed off by the customer for manufacture

Raise Sales orders to our production department to ensure that our customers receive their goods to the agreed availability.

Liaise with and support the National Sales Manager on customer service issues.

Raise enquiry/sales reports at regular intervals as directed by your line manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-40,000.00 per year
